Sour Cherry started in 2009 in Kayleigh's parents' garage, she wanted to create unique jewellery.
Years later, to our core, we're passionate about that. As the team has grown to approximately 20 people, we all believe everyone deserves to feel stylish and unique, and we take great pride in helping our customers find their perfect jewellery.

'Made in Manchester' Jewellery
Kayleigh has designed and created Sour Cherry's jewellery for over 15 years, starting using resin, Kayleigh now uses high-quality perspex and acrylic to make the Made in Manchester jewellery.
We are passionate about creating beautiful jewellery that is both sustainable and affordable. We believe everyone deserves to feel stylish and unique.
With an affordable price (starting at £6) at Sour Cherry we want people to afford lasting, high-quality pieces.
Our Made in Manchester Jewellery is made from stainless steel fixings (except for a few sterling silver items). Stainless Steel is a durable, tarnish-resistant metal.
Kayleigh!
We are a female-owned business, since starting the company in 2009, Kayleigh has always been the backbone of the business, ensuring everything goes ... as smoothly as possible.
Kayleigh has built Sour Cherry without any investors. She really does it all, designing and creating the jewellery, finances ... There's a million more things, we'd be here all day if I listed it all.
- She has 3 dogs named Izzy (the mum!), Stephen and Kathleen - If you follow us on social media, you've probably seen them on our feed.
- Kayleigh loves TV, her favourite shows are; Futurama, Bob's Burgers & It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Our Customers
We're so grateful for all of the love people have for our small business, your positive reviews, messages, and words really make our day and inspire us to carry on even when it gets tough.
We feel really proud to work here when people come into the shops telling us their own stories, whether they've ordered/followed online and this is their first time coming into the shop or they've just stumbled upon us and asked us about the shop.
Running a small business is full of trials and tribulations but we're lucky to have your positivity.
Cherries
Whilst deciding the name of the business, Kayleigh soon decided on a sweet related name, she chose Sour Cherry and never turned back!
We've now made lots of cherry earrings! (Although you can't eat those)
Pink
We LOVE pink! Like Elle Woods, pink is our signature colour, we live and breathe pink!
Our office is pink, our cards are pink. Pink is everywhere you look and we wouldn't have it any other way!
“Whoever said orange is the new pink was seriously disturbed.”
The Support of the Small Business Community
This thriving pocket of the internet is a perfect escape. People are always there for a chat, advice, or whatever you need.
In the face of Amazon and big corporations, it's incredible to have a community you feel inspired by.
And to shop and support - please remember to support small businesses.
Dogs
- We love our furry friends in the office!
- Kayleigh's 3 dogs are regular employees as well as Daniels Westie Mabel and Jess's dog Jeff!
- Fun Fact: Kayleigh adopted Izzy not knowing she was pregnant ... fast forward to New Year's Eve, and Izzy suddenly started giving birth! Kayleigh's family kept all of the dogs and named them after family members.
